“The US Forest Service will enhance and restore approximately 500 acres [200 hectares] of meadows and other suitable areas of the Rogue River–Siskiyou National Forest with native milkweeds and other native nectar producing plants to provide habitat for monarch caterpillars and adults. Native milkweed and nectar seeds will be collected, grown out at nurseries, and then out-planted in conjunction with ongoing restoration activities by forest employees and NGO and private partners” (Edelen 2015).
