Le Superior Watershed Partnership restaure activement l\u2019habitat des monarques et des pollinisateurs depuis cinq ans. En 2014 et en 2015, ses membres ont propag\u00e9 et plant\u00e9 plus de 20 000 plantes \u00e0 pollinisateurs sur plus de 6,5 hectares (plus de 16 acres) dans la Hiawatha National Forest.<\/p>\n<p>Les plantes sont cultiv\u00e9es \u00e0 partir de graines dans une serre de la Hiawatha National Forest, \u00e0 Marquette (Michigan) (USFS HNF, 2015). Le partenariat se concentre principalement sur la culture d\u2019ascl\u00e9piades, mais aussi fait aussi pousser d\u2019autres plantes importantes pour les monarques et d\u2019autres pollinisateurs \u2013 comme la marguerite jaune, la m\u00e9lisse et l\u2019aster \u2013 dans la serre, puis les transplante dans la Hiawatha National Forest.<\/p>\n<p>Avant de planter quoi que ce soit, les \u00e9quipes de b\u00e9n\u00e9voles sur le terrain arrachent les esp\u00e8ces envahissantes (dompte-venin noir et de Russie et langue-de-chien) et \u00e9valuent le site de restauration. Les membres du Superior Watershed Partnership collaborent avec les responsables de la Hiawatha National Forest pour surveiller et \u00e9valuer les diverses m\u00e9thodes de traitement de ces esp\u00e8ces envahissantes (SWPLT, 2015).<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019aide des b\u00e9n\u00e9voles est essentielle au succ\u00e8s de ce projet.
