The Community Interaction Program is a grant program administered by the St. Lawrence Action Plan to address environmental issues and benefit biodiversity in the St. Lawrence area. The grant program is competitive, with all funding for the 2016/2017 period already allocated to projects submitted in 2015. Eligible projects under this grant include but are not limited to those that restore shoreline habitat or protect wildlife and plant species. The maximum funding a project may receive is up to 70% of eligible expenses but no more than C$200,000. Matching funds may be cash or in-kind (SLAP 2015).
