This report is one of multiple guides addressing pollinator habitat installation available through the Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation’s (Xerces’) Pollinator Resource Center online resource hub; others are authored by Xerces staff and staff from the USDA NRCS and address regionally specific BMPs. Regional guides currently include those for California, Delaware, Florida, Maryland, New England, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Pacific Islands, Pennsylvania, Upper Midwest, Western Oregon and Washington and Wisconsin.

Regional guides are organized by NRCS practices, including hedgerow planting (422) and conservation cover (327). Establishing Pollinator Meadows from Seed covers steps including invasive/pest species management, planting or seeding, mowing or haying, and burning. Similar topics are covered in regional guides, which also include recommended plant lists (Lee-Mäder et al. 2015).
