The communities of Boquillas del Carmen, Norias de Boquillas, Jaboncillos grandes, San Miguel and San Vicente participate in this program. There are talks to local members of the communities about the monarch butterfly. There is no specific budget for this program so the annual operating program funds of the protected area are used. Additionally, funds from FANP are sometimes used (Carrera 2016).
