Conservadores de la Biodiversidad y Educadores Ambientales is a civil society organization created to promote priority species conservation projects and foster environmental education. Over the last two years, Cobea has included various monarch butterfly conservation actions among its monitoring projects, in southern Tamaulipas and northern Veracruz.

These actions include training members and collaborators in the application of the national standardized monitoring protocol. This program has reported autumn migration sightings and butterfly reproduction activities. Cobea has enthusiastically fostered workshops and talks to create public awareness on the conservation of the monarch migratory phenomenon in the metropolitan area.
